Aim

Influencing upwards can be tricky because of the power differences and authority in the organisation. Senior leaders might have their own views and priorities, which can be hard to align with your ideas. Plus, getting access to them isn’t always easy, making it tough to communicate and build relationships effectively.

In this workshop, we’ll explore strategies to effectively communicate and influence those in higher positions within your practice. By the end of the workshop, you’ll have practical techniques to enhance your impact and foster stronger professional relationships with senior leaders.

Workshop format

The format will be informal and participative – everyone has an important contribution to make to the discussions.

A typical workshop will cover:

  • Management theory and research input from the trainer
  • Learning from our shared experiences
  • Small group work to discuss and share ideas

Zoom joining instructions will be sent as part of the meeting invitations unless the organisation prefers to use its own video conferencing facility.  Copies of the slides will be sent out after each workshop.
